About the Owner
Lynne Smith brings many years of Geriatric Care Management experience to The Anchorage. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Service and has been a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Idaho since 1985. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and and has been an Idaho resident for over 30 years. Prior to opening The Anchorage, Lynne spent 14 years with a Boise non-profit Social Service agency. Here, she conducted hundreds of assessments with seniors, carried a caseload and managed the Social Work program. She has an extensive knowledge of local community resources as well as experience with the medical community that will contribute to your loved one’s continuity of care. She is an Advanced Aging Life Care Professional™ and a Board Certified Case Manager.
Lynne attempts to exhibit compassion, understanding and knowledge while serving the geriatric population and their family. Her desire is for seniors and their families to improve their quality of life through the provision of conscientious care coordination. As a Social Worker, her philosophy is that each of us are multi-faceted, complex human beings who deserve individualized, dignified care, no matter what age or stage of life we find ourselves. Lynne’s goal is to help the senior feel valued and supported, not only with their medical needs, but socially and emotionally as well.
